Born July 2, 1901, Metamora, OH; died May 29, 1970, Chicago, IL. Psychologist. Vincent V. Herr, S.J., received his A.B. and M.A. degress from St. Louis University, after which he studied under Karl Buehler at the University of Vienna, and experimental Psychology at the University of Bonn, Germany. Upon leaving Germany in 1939, Herr joined the Psychology department at Loyola University Chicago where, in addition to teaching, he developed psychological tests that measured visual literacy, cognitiv...
